It’s April! It’s Spring! Wow the weeks are flying by. I swear every week keeps getting faster and faster, it’s scary! March could have been more productive for me, but this is a journey and I’m trying to figure out and balance several things in my life. March Blog Stats and Social Media Stats
Page views went up a couple thousand from last month, but I STILL haven’t reached 10,000. I started off the month of March really strong. I was overflowing with ideas and motivation, but it quickly dissipated :/ Read more below in my life update.
Current social media following:
Pinterest: 985 (up 153)
Instagram: 467 (up 76)
Twitter: 267 (up 6)
YouTube: 3,061 (up 205)
E-mail subscribers: 11 (up 6)
Pinterest: This does it all on it’s own. I have no strategy here! I have Boardbooster, and I randomly have days where I pin many things manually, but I can’t say I’m really doing anything to gain followers!
Instagram: Well, long story short, someone (I know) got into my account and decided to post on my behalf followed by deleting probably 100+ photos and videos of mine on there. I still have the photos, but I don’t think there’s anyway for me to get back the original post with the likes/interactions on it. This low key kind of benefitted me, because I’ve been posting more consistently with old photos and new ones to justify for all the lost posts which has increased my followers a good bit!
Twitter: The usual here, I tweet every so often some random thoughts and quotes but not much effort!
YouTube: I didn’t upload again :/ I need to get a new camera! My current camera makes a strange noise while it records. I’ve also been struggling with WHAT to film, I need to brainstorm some ideas.
E-mail Subscribers: I use ConvertKit and everyone has signed up through my footer opt-in form. I wish I could see which post people decide to sign up on! A vegan post? A self-improvement post? It would help for when I send out an e-mail!
So, Did I reach my March Goals?
- Reach 10,000 page views –> No
- Finish all 30 days of my e-mail challenge –> No
- Publish at least one post per week –> No. I posted 2/3ish
- Send out at least one e-mail to subscribers per week –> No I sent 3
- Post on Instagram and Facebook at least 3 times per week –> No.
- Read (finish) at least one book –> No but now I’m reading 3 books!
- Drink a gallon of water daily –> Yes!
Wow :/ This is terrible. Every month is getting worse. This needs to change.
This includes any income I made from online sources!

Exciting stuff! Again, it’s not much but it’s something, it’s a start and it’s an increase from last month! I’ll be adding this to my Digit account once again!

Okay so I keep setting about the same goals each month, yet not reaching them. This is my fault, this is also not beneficial. It’s time to revamp this area in my life a little bit. I’m going to aim for just about the same goals, but I’m going to plan everything out in more detail. So, I purchased a large dry erase calendar where I can schedule blog posts, e-mails, social media, etc. I’ve had a bit of writers block if you want to call it that. I just haven’t been sure what to write about and when I try it just doesn’t end well, so I’m going to plan each weeks post in advance (like I should have been) and that should help!

General Life Update
March was literally life altering. To be honest 2017 started off on a really bad foot, and stayed bad through March. Many, many ups and downs, slaps in the face, and shocking events occurred. A chapter of my life is now over with that I didn’t expect, but now I can leave the negativity in the past and move forward which is exactly what I’m doing. Things kept happening that were distracting me and holding me back from staying focused, then I would have periods of “high” or positivity that would get me back on track for a short moment. I was going through an emotional roller coaster that also affected me physically (getting sick, slacking off, desire to sleep, but also unable to sleep, etc.). It’s been rough, but I made it through and honestly I’m stronger than ever and I’m excited for what’s to come.
I really, really want blogging to become my full-time job this year. I don’t want to give myself a harsh deadline because that may lead to disappointment, but I do know that I need to work for it harder. Actions speak louder than words and my actions are not lining up with my words as consistently as I would like them to. Getting back into a morning routine has been difficult for me and I may stop trying to develop one until my life is a little more consistent but I definitely need to stick to more positive habits (daily meditation, daily reading, affirmations, things along those lines).
I desire so much more of my life, I’m miserable working 5 days a week making someone else money. There is so much more to life than that, there are so many places to visit, so many things to experience, so much life to live. I can’t stick to “the norm” for much longer, I’m not made for that.
